"
and this from your comment -
"I personally hated Gears of War. "
and let me mention this - Gow Was one of the most popular game of 2007.

And there you have it, proof that "What you believe is fun is not what everyone believes is fun. ". So you better quit playing games or trying to sound like an expert in the gaming culture.

Regarding your personal attack - "So 3D only rules in your mind and in the minds of other people with teenage like minds. You know, People who feel their inadequacies rather sharply."
Well, the way you take my words so personally that you need to start a personal attack tells me a lot about YOUR inadequacies. I mean for god's sake, these words were not about you. They were about 2D vs 3D.

Finally, if you really read this, I have not claimed 3D is better than 2D, I am just countering someone who DID claim the opposite. Where did you come in this picture, well I have no effing clue!

So it seems to me that your mind is little more effed up than mine.

Re: Re: Top 10 Reasons All Video Games Should be 2D

I am not a teenager and I like 3-D games and 2-D games. When I was a teenager, I liked 2-D games and 3-D games so what's your point bunny?
I think both 3-D and 2-D games have followers. I however agree with this article in that there's reasons why not all games should be 2-D. That's what the old-wizard article is effectively saying - all games should be 2-D. What an extreme stand to take when there's some many great 3-D games out there.

Re: Re: Top 10 Reasons All Video Games Should be 2D

If the way you argue did not tell me what sort of person you are and what age range you come from, your examples in your arguments would tell me the same things.

What you believe is fun is not what everyone believes is fun. Do not assume that everyone feels more gratification with their win if the graphics and experience is more "real". I personally hated Gears of War. It was one of the most pathetic games I have played.

So 3D only rules in your mind and in the minds of other people with teenage like minds. You know, People who feel their inadequacies rather sharply.

Re: Re: Top 10 Reasons All Video Games Should be 2D

Thanks for your comment. I think you have hit the nail on the head. I still love Mario and Tetris as much as CoD and Ninja Gaiden 2. Both 3D and 2D have their advantages and disadvantages and how to use the rightfully is up to the game developer. We have seen a lot of badly designed games both on 2D and 3D and that's the real problem.

Re: Re: Top 10 Reasons All Video Games Should be 2D

I think the important thing in the 2D Vs. 3D argument is the type of game. FPS like Halo would lose a lot of there enjoyment as a 2D games. Likewise platform games like Mario seem to lose something as 3D games. I personally love strategy games, and it is interesting that RTS games seem to be better as 3D games (StarCraft excepted.) But I feel the focus on 3D has in many ways hurt the genre. Railroad Tycoon was a wonderful 2D game when it came out originally, but I hated all the 3D versions. 3D games are very art intensive and tend to absorb a lot resources that, sometime, would have better been invested in the the game's story, characters or game play.
