iMediaPress: Amazon begins streaming movies, plans for TV

Good luck with that amazon because unless they have streaming movies that really works, I have try myself to download movies from netflix and they don't work very well, I could only see half of the movie or with very low quality, so I think they should stick with the DVD deal :-)

I am sort of glad we have more choice out there. Netflix for me has worked out quite well. Off course they do not have all the movies only about 10,000 now but I am hoping that should grow and get better. Also they just inked a deal with Microsoft for XBOX Live so obviously there is hope that it should create more demand for streaming.

I agree in short term it might be only good for early adapters. However, in the long term, ability to have access to a huge movie library right from your couch will close down Blockbuster (and cause serious health consequences).
